Activities while at school
Interested in all team sports. Hicks House Captain. Team captain of hockey, netball and rounders and in 2nd pair of tennis team. Spent final year studying commercial subjects with Mr Unsted. For three weeks I worked with Mr A L Jones, as school secretary, when Muriel, Mr Jones' secretary, was indisposed.
Life after school
On leaving school I worked in Cox and Kings branch of Lloyds Bank in Pall Mall, a position which Mr Jones recommended. Was not happy in London so returned to the Cotswolds and then worked for A C Nielsen in Oxford. After 2 years I moved on to become secretary for a psychologist at a residential school for maladjusted boys in a village on the outskirts of Banbury. In 1957 I married and moved to Tetbury where my two children were born. I then moved to Bradford-on-Avon then Bray-on-Thames then Crowthorne. I was widowed in 2004 and am now living in Wokingham, Berks.
