Fereby with 591/2 points, was champion House at the annualswimming sports held by Chipping Campden Grammar School at the Broad Campden Baths on Tuesday. The runners-up were Hicks with 501/2 points.
The junior champion was Tilbrook (F), with Allen (T) runner-up; the junior girl’s champion, Christine Rogers (H) with Susan Cawkell(T) runner-up; the senior boy’s champion McNamara (H) with Farr (F) runner-up; and the senior girl’s champion, Pat Hart (H) with Gillian Sadler (F) runner-up.
Perhaps the most remarkable performance of the day was given by a junior, Tilbrook who beat his senior competitors by winning the boys’ open diving.
The prizes & certificates were presented by MR. A.H.Babbage, headmaster of Moreton Secondar School, Mrs Babbage being presented with a bouquet by McNamara.
